Born and raised in New York City’s borough of Queens, DJ Charles in Charge has been greatly influenced by the cites’ most notable music artists. DJ Charles’ journey in becoming a professional disc jockey started in 2010 while attending Hofstra University – working his way up from house parties to large-scale venues, arenas, and celebrity tours hosting over 200,000 music enthusiast.

With his diverse following Charles has been able to take his talents across the country and even overseas – controlling any crowd on his Technic 1200’s, masterfully scratching his records and emceeing.

While Charles can no-doubt rock the club, he also knows how to take over the airwaves. At present, he can be heard on the renowned HOT 97 (NYC) as a mix show DJ. He has also has timeslots on notable hip hop stations in France (Mouv, 92.1 in Paris).

DJ Charles’s charisma, determination and pure grind has propelled his career forward in a very short time. Charles has already worked with world famous DJ’s including fellow NYers DJ Clue and Funk Master Flex.  

He has also had the privilege to DJ for predominant hip hop artist like Future, Nipsey, Juelz Santana, Meek Mill, French Montana, Joe Budden and Soulja Boy just to name a few. Most recently, Charles joined the Freebandz crew; touring with Future and working closely with his DJ, DJ ESCO.
